Lilia A. Munoz, Esq., was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1984. In 1999 she was certified in Family Mediation at the South Jersey Family Mediation Center. She is also a R.1.40 Court- Approved Family Mediator.
Ms. Munoz started her career as an associate with the firm of Robert Menendez, P.A. from 1984-1988. In 1988 she became a partner in the firm of Menendez and Munoz, P. A.. Since 1991 she has owned her own firm where she handles all aspects of litigation in Family Law. She also practices in the areas of Real Estate, Wills and Estates, Landlord/Tenancy, Immigration and Bankruptcy.
Ms. Munoz was the first Hispanic ever to serve as President of the Hudson County Bar Association (2001). She is a former Regional Trustee of the New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association and a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. She serves on Supreme Court Committees and State Bar Committees and is active in the Hudson County Community. Ms. Munoz participates in the Union City High School Cooperative Business Education Program, mentoring High School Seniors interested in pursuing a career in Law.
Ms. Munoz is the recipient of the "Elena Mederos Award" for her outstanding contribution and dedication to the advancement of the Hispanic Community.
Ms. Munoz is fluent in Spanish and holds degrees from Seton Hall University and Rutgers Law School-Newark.
